In Lamb Zwartbles Sale tops at 900gns
It was the Overall Champion a shearling gimmer that lead the trade at Harrison and Hetherington Carlisle selling at 900gns Broomfield Duchess from A Baillie and T Jackson sold to P & AM Bonsall’s Pride Hay flock Buxton. Further shearling gimmers sold for 650 and 550gns Clarewood Dreamer and Clarewood Diamond both from T & C Critchley Hutton Preston selling to K & D Sutherland’s Pardovan flock West Lothian and G T Booth’s Megaboo flock West Yorkshire.
Flock ewes continued the demand for in lamb sheep with the first topping at 800gns Conwy Christel from R Heigh sold to J Harle’s Stockley flock Stanley County Durham followed by two at 400gns Harle Crimson from T & G Blamire selling to A Dickinson’s Harle flock Newcastle Upon Tyne and Culriach Banshee from A Baillie and T Jackson selling to R & J Thorpe Larkhall Lanarkshire.
Ewe lambs met a mixed trade and at times proved hard to sell never the less trade topped at a respectable 800gns for the reserve champion from C & H Duffy Smiddy Hill Emma selling to P & J Hutchinson’s Quoile River flock Northern Ireland and again at 800gns for Stainmore Emerald from F Brown selling again to G Booth’s Megaboo flock.
