Nine females sold for 1,000gns or above at in-lamb sale at Borderway mart, Carlisle where the second prize gimmer topped the sale ay 1,400gns.  This gimmer Prestige Hazel Memorable is a daughter of the 1650gns Danygraig Lieutenant and out of Pen Llyn Envious.  She was sold by Ben Stayt,Cheltenham inlamb to the homebred Statesman Negotiator. She was knocked down tp Messrs Gill from Inverness.

Statesman Nutmeg, the reserve champion from the same home, made 1000gns and was one of four to hit this price. Sired by Top Notch King Kong, she is a full sister to the 2000gns Statesman Mississippi while her dam, Pistyll Hotstuff, was purchased for 800gns. Nutmeg was secured by the Barraston flock of Messrs McGrandles, Glasgow.

Second top price was 1200gns paid three times for ewe lambs. First up was Ashleylands Next Jet Set, from Janet Ward, Longtons, Preston. This Ashleylands Laser daughter, out of Clarewood Jet Setter, sold to Neil and Joyce Millar, Lockerbie for their Joyfield flock. Smiddy Hill Nancy, by Broomfield Trickster out of Smiddy Hill Harmony, made the same money for Colin Duffy, Dunragit. The buyers were Arfon Lloyd, Llanrwst for his Derwen flock, who also went to 1200gns for Conic Natalia, a daughter of Conic Mufasa out of Conic Lemon from the Gibson family.

The champion, a gimmer bred by Alec and Caroline Houseman but consigned by Brian Gibson reached 1000gns, selling to Barraston flock of Messrs McGrandles. Viking Molly is by Conic Kitty, out of Viking Krystal, and sold scanned in lamb to Conic Musafa.

Thomas and Charlotte Critchley sold Clarewood Mighty Fine for 1100gns. This gimmer by Selside Kooldude and out of Rockford Hocus Pocus sold carrying twins to Chapel Field Beron. The buyer was Ben Stayt who also bought the ewe lamb, Caerlaverock Nellie, from Mrs J Brown, for 1000gns. She is by Wallacetown Magnum and out of Caerlaverock Lucy.

Rounding off the 1000gns sales was Stainmore Mamma Mia, a gimmer from Mark Weir, Symington. A daughter of Hayberries Jaeger, out of Stainmore Kindofmagic, she was purchased by Messrs McCornick, Newton Stewart for their Stewarton flock and sold in lambto Pistyll Maverick.
