Beechbrook Phoenix tops the NI Sale at 1400gns
Beechbrook Phoenix (Lot 13) topped the NI Sale this year when the hammer fell at 1400gns. The Reserve Overall Champion on the night from S&E Watson caught the eye of many with the ram lamb now heading to the Orchard View flock of A&O McParland, Newry.
A&R Megarrell’s ram lamb Killymallaght Punk Rocker (Lot 15) sired by Aquila Dupilcate was the pick of S&E Watson of the Beechbrook flock and was knocked down at 1100gns.
Next top priced ram lamb was Lot 25b Black Bramble Puma from G Hancock for 800gns to S Walker’s Glebe Hill Flock, Scarva.
Overall Champion and top priced female was Donbraid Nelly (Lot 48b), this stylish gimmer from Ian Donald now heads to the Drain Flock of P&E Anderson, Portstewart at 1150gns.
Lot 26 Killymallaght November Rain (A & R Megarrell) realised 700gns and off to the Faulkners Drumlap flock, Co, Cavan.
Next top priced shearling ewe was Lot 48c Donbraid Natalie (I Donald) and off to the Brickpark Flock of Brain Besanson, Co. Wexford.
Ewe lambs topped at 620gns with Lot 74 Drain Penelope from P&E Anderson heading off to the Donbraid flock of Ian Donald. Next, Lot 72 Drain Petal at 520gns and Lot 73 Drain Peggy at 480gns finished the Andersons pen and will join the flocks of J Smyth, Co Wexford and P Conroy, Co. Galway.
Also realising 480gns was Lot 55 Beechbrook Pandora (S&E Watson) to J Smyth, Co. Wexford and Lot 69 Knockadoo Prada (L Wilson, Moneymore) to the McCrackens Drummer flock, Banbridge.
